...it was literally just today with the FP page that I learned his name is actually Morley Safer. All this time I’ve been calling him Morley Staffer .

forgiveable. I’m a few months short of 40 years old, and as far as I’m concerned 60 Minutes is a show my grandfather watched. Because he did. My dad does to. I don’t bother.
back then, TV and newspapers were the primary sources of information for most people. you waited to receive the information they deigned to bestow on you. There’s a lot of shit on the internet, but at least in times of crisis services like Twitter and Facebook can let people close to the situation get information out.
